Identity is verified by comparing information from an online digital ID check, bank statement, and land title to confirm a person’s name and personal details.

KYC (know your customer) refers to the process of a customer fulfilling the requirements of AUSTRAC’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing program.

(AML/CTF programs are vital in identifying, disrupting, and preventing money laundering and terrorism financing. This protects your business or organisation, your community and Australia from criminal activity.)

Bureau Check refers to a credit check that is used to identify a customer’s credit score, defaults, undisclosed directorships, and other information that is relevant to determining whether the customer is eligible for credit under the lender’s credit guidelines or policy rules.

At the bottom of the “Character” tab, any changes made to any rule will be recorded with a “before” and “after” status note, as well as the reason for the change (such as approval or rejection) by the credit manager or an approved delegate. This will include any changes that are overwritten.
